What is Onam?
This is a colourful bright festival celebrated in southern part of india and by the state of Kerala People also called Mallu or Malayali (Malayalam is their language) 😉.
Onam is an annual Harvest celebration also a commemorate King Mahabali, whose spirit is said to visit during this festival time of 10 days. I’ve never seen him coming 😜 But i’m sure you will enjoy this festival.
What they do?
10 days of celebration 😃 Anyone jealous🤔? Yeah a week of Holiday for kids 🙄 i wish i am a kid now.🤔
Athachamayam
Elephants parade will happen 🐘People dance, people will diguise as king Mahabali.

Music and Dance
Thiruvathira Dance – Group of girls in their traditional saree will dance in a circle usually.

My time Onam Sadya
Onam Sadya is a food with different kinds of dry gravy and rice and a large list of menu. But in the end you will enjoy this.
Hope i gave a quick tour on what happens on Onam Celebration. This is not a detailed version. But a quick sneak peak to know what basically makes this festival more colourful.
*Note: I am not a Kerala person as i am from border we also celebrate. I may have missed some key factors of this festival. My sincere regrets if i did. Do let me know so that i will correct and learn as well.

i dont know that too… 🙈 officially its 4 days…😉 a week of holiday for kids. .. for working people its just 1 day 🙄
