Imagination grows by exercise, and contrary to common belief, is more powerful in the mature than in the young.” – W. Somerset Maugham

Mobile Range

She was tensed and waiting for the mobile range impatiently to send him one voice message in WhatsApp, her coach called her blind for losing in shooting practice.

“Can’t you see? Don’t pretend like you don’t know, you know I love you, and I freaking knew it when you kissed me” she got emotional to her coach.

He stood there with lost words, he loved her but as a coach he felt guilty to fell in love with his student “Sabrina just focus on the match, we will discuss this later” he replied.

She will never forget what happened on the hills, her first kiss and everything that followed on that moment during her tour, his sudden change in behaviour and avoiding her irritated her.

After she won the medal she was desperate to see him, found him nowhere then waited for the mobile range to call him and cursed for having no network at her sports center, after crossing several miles from the sports center she got a notification on her phone..

It was his voice message “By the time you are listening this, Hope you got your medal as we discussed and you got mobile range as well and my apologies I couldn’t be there, so meet me tomorrow at the practice centre not as a trainee but as my girlfriend, I am waiting as promised” she blushed staring out the window.

  1. Excellent Six. (two characters acting in a most human manner, we Readers have the luxury of sharing the positive (of the narrative) without having to endure any of the negative.)
    cool
