I’m not surprised, because I am also a part of this, and you are too and everyone of us!
You know what?
WED – Partiality in reducing plastic
Today is World Environment Day(WED), I’m just trying to remind you.
By the time I publish this, and by the time you read this, each of us will wait for another 12 months for Jun 5th World environment day. Why? Because that’s when we talk about reducing plastic again and save the environment and ocean life.
Isn’t it true? Now with Corona pandemic, imagine the large number of plastic gloves that will be thrown into garbage and left on the streets, and the large number of face mask, surgical mask, and N95 masks that has been thrown outside and into the ocean.
We all are talking about saving ourselves and it’s natural human being are a selfish creature. Think about the mess We are making in terms of saving ourselves, imagine the large number of garbage in production.
Above all, almost most of us now buy this sanitizer in plastic bottles, I can’t recommend to sell that in a reusable plastic bottle, but that many plastic bottles all around the world, one bottle per week for each family all around the world, God, I can’t imagine the plastic bottles we are going to throw in the dustbin. This is scary. Why can’t we promote soap instead?
Let’s not just be a regular human being with regular knowledge concerning about the earth, and let’s start looking for a shampoo made in form of soap. Let’s start looking for sanitizer made in form of soap, let’s start looking for face masks that made in clothes, stop using all the elastic bands on the masks, even the tiny little elastic band is not decomposable.
Don’t think this is an overthinking write-up. This is a fact, and it’s happening, and we all are part of it. Don’t deny it. If anyone of you being a part of this community making plastic gloves, plastic masks, plastic sanitizer bottle, Can you think about making things that can be decomposed by earth?
Let’s stop showing partiality, like avoiding only plastic straws to save the earth, plastic is everywhere and it is not decomposable, even though we do have worms and bacterias that can eat plastic, that is going to take thousands of years to eat the accumulated plastic in our Earth, and the amount of plastic left by year 2020 pandemic is going to make history. Think out of the box, it’s not just plastic straw, it’s everything around.
Can we live without plastic? Oh no! Not possible. But can we reduce it? Ofcourse yes! But who is going to do that? Spread the word and find out!

Good Post, Simon!
Kindly consider this. There’s a typo in the post. WED is on June 5th and not May 5th.
