We all are preciously gifted living beings. The moment we open our eyes we start to explore the world with so much curiosity. Everything we see is new, everything we touch is new, the tastebud in our tongue, the language we hear, the science and maths about the world and the world is very exciting to learn. As a kid we know nothing, good bad evil how to survive on planet earth nothing, everything is exciting for us and we ask the stupidest questions with deep thoughts which we were never aware of asking it. When someone asks us during our childhood what do we want to be, we would’ve said we wanted to be the one that excited that made us feel alive. Take example a child would say to become a doctor, the child did not know to become a doctor how much time and investment and intelligence required and how much money a doctor would earn, because the kid is excited that it can heal someone. But as we grow up and if asked the same question the answer will differ to the person to person.
We lose interest in the real world as we grow up. Let me bring you my favourite line from Jostein Gaarder “To Summarize briefly: A white rabbit is pulled out of a top hat. Because it is an extremely large rabbit, the trick takes many billions of years. All mortals are born at the very tip of the rabbit’s fine hairs. where they are in a position to wonder at the impossibility of the trick. But as they grow older they work themselves even deeper into the fur. And there they stay. They become so comfortable they never risk crawling back up the fragile hairs again. Only philosophers embark on this perilous expedition to the outermost reaches of language and existence. Some of the fall off, but other cling on desperately and yell at the people nestling deep in the snug softness, stuffing themselves with delicious food and drink.‘ ‘Ladiesand gentlemen,’ they yell, ‘we are floating in space!’ but none of the people down there care.W What a bunch of troublemakers!’ they say. And they keep on chatting: Would you pass the butter, please? How much have our stocks risen today? What is the price of tomatoes? Have you heard that Princes Di is expecting again?“
This clearly explains our reality. As a child, we face the world with so much excitement just like sitting at the very tip of the rabbit’s fine hairs. But as we grow up, our society teaches us this is the way one should live to survive, and that makes us lose the curiosity that we had during our childhood. So we get down from the tip of rabbit fur and stays deeper into the fur. And we get used to the way of living and we bury the curiosity, excitement and everything within us to live the mechanical life that is around.
But, the child inside us never dies. It is always alive. You think we get old, yes! we get old but not our thoughts, age is only a number it’s only identification of our years alive, and the wrinkles in our skin is only the experience. But we are always still a child inside of us, the curiosity, the rational thinking, the excitement all goes nowhere, it’s never too old climb up to the tip of rabbit fine hair.
Why should you wake up the child inside you?
Because the world needs it. There are enough population that does what society ask them to do, and people that think out of the box is been ignored in the society. Wake up your inner child again and make the world a better place. The world needs you, It makes the world more interesting and the world itself an exciting place to live. So question everything, be curious to try, to learn, to study, to take a risk and think out of the box.
We got this one life and when we wake up we got only 12 to 18 hours of active time to do what we want, we never know what is going to happen or we can’t promise the next day. Do whatever you are doing, but do not forget to wake up that inner child in you and chase your dreams with passion.
It makes life more interesting and you can look at the world at the top. Just like sitting on the edge of the rabbit’s fur and explore this universe as you see it for the first time. Most of us are living a boring life, everything you see around is created by us, so what can we think? what can we discover? Is beyond your imagination.
Think about it. Make it Interesting and never settle!
